directly proportional

july is near...and what we are actually excited of?

the increase in the salary which is based on our merit rating and the across the
board increase. so far the company had it for the two years i have been here.

our first ATB(Across the Board) was 1000 then the second one is the same as the
previous one. for the third one, we are expection for hopefully the same
amount.. we are hoping that it will be higher but not lower ;)
so that was 2000 increase from the first pay that we are offered to...

but, it seems that i still find it hard to save..and still, no savings yet...
why? because i think that my expenses is directly proportional to what i am
spending...

before, i stayed at a place and i am paying 1000 for the rent..now, its already
1500 or make it 2000 since my sis is staying with me....

before, i would usually spend 300-600 for the prepaid loads...but now, i am
paying at least 800 for my phone bill or even more if i exceeded my limit which by
the way usually happens.

before, on groceries and other shoppings i might spend, several hundreds or
thousand...now, same amount but sometimes its every week or twice a
week...why? courtesy of credit cards...and i am not only paying for what i have
bought but also for the finance charges...cool huh :)

something makes sense huh! the more we are paid for, the more we are spending
too...

noticed people who makes little than us but still managed to make it through
without credit cards and postpaid telephone lines...and even savings on their
account....because they knew that they will not be able to manage to pay for all
those expenses..

and us who are earning quite enough or more than enough, managed to apply
for several credit cards(not just one), to apply for several telephone lines, even
cable, internet connections or dsl lines, and lots of other extra stuffs...
well, that's how it works....

the more people who earns more, the more companies giving employments, the
more people who earns, the more stuffs availabe to spent on...

and for me...still no savings..and still growing expenses..

this is something to think about :)
