food, food, free food :D

what I love about our company is the frequent free foods, free talk/seminars, discounts, roadshows and a very nice HR :D

we are receiving free fruits monthly, accompanied by our hr's email on the benefits of the fruits or of the juice they are giving us. last time we had pear, tambis, apple juice, orange juice..some small stuffs but considering we are over a thousand here in the office, its something. we even had our durian party here ;)

yesterday we attended the free lunch talk about cervical cancer. we need not go out of the office coz we have our own auditorium. we were given free lunch, and some freebies.

today, i had a taste of durian and yam mooncake courtesy of our manager. and on september 9, several hotels and restaurants are coming over to the office to sell mooncake. we have our own mooncake festival here ;) of course we are getting discounts for it ;) excited! :D i tried mooncake once in cebu during the mooncake festival in waterfront, and when i found it here, ive been wanting to try different flavors especially the snowskin ones. it is quite expensive for about 10-15dollars each for the big ones, depending on the flavor and of course on the maker. but still, i so wanted to try everything..they said even starbucks and swensens are selling ice cream mooncake..waaahhh

anyways, aside from food discounts, we are also having roadshows here from starhub(internet, cellphone plans and cable provider), citibank, and other banks. today we have UOB here where you can open an account with their agents or apply for a credit card without the hassle of going to their banks.

very convenient ;)

in transit

we were in transit from one country to another country(chars! country jud! ) last weekend. well, singapore and malaysia were actually just a bus ride away. literally in transit because we only stayed at one place to sleep for just 2hours, the rest, we were either walking, or taking bus rides, mrt rides, and taxi.

but definitely, it was not easy. for one, only one part of malaysia is near singapore and the rest is very far..
it was all our first time going there, there is a difference in currency and language. Singapore signs are mostly english while in malaysia, 85% i think is in malay. in singapore, you can feel far more secured than in malaysia heheh

anyways, i have proven the help of umbrella, slippers, internet, cellphone atm, and credit card during our trip. despite the fear and feeling lost, it was an great overall experience for all of us.

lots of things learned, and quouting soi, it was bonding for the three of us ;)

well, things happen for a reason, but one thing I am going to do in the coming month: apply for a credit card here, and bring my old credit card :D

it was one trip ill surely never forget :)
